| Michael Frangou rushes Rustington's rearguard |
Rustington’s last gasp winner was no more than they deserved as the won at Pagham. A friendly this may have been, but the visitors fought tooth and nail for every ball, although Pagham themselves showed some great moves, most notably through Charlie Marshall. Daren Pearce could have struck the first goal when a Woolf cross saw the Pagham skipper shoot just over. The scoring was opened just after the half hour as the visitors build up play saw a shot struck passed James Benfield in the Lions goal. The Lions struck back, Paul Jones shooting narrowly wide , and Ross Woolf having a brace of chances as the half drew to a close.

| Charlie Marshall - magnificent in midfield |
No changes at half time, but multiple substitutions came within ten minutes of the re-start as Carl Stabler looked to shake things up. Rustington were more than holding their own, peppering Binfield’s goal with shots. Matt Wood shot at the Rustington ‘keeper before Daren Pearce’s equaliser with two minutes left seemed to be enough for Pagham. Right on full time came the goal of the game as a fierce shot from the left hit the net, leaving a blameless Binfield to rue his luck.
